Governor Kathy Hochul today nominated the Honorable Hector D. LaSalle, Presiding Justice of New York Supreme Court's Second Department, as the next Chief Judge of the New York State Court of Appeals. As Chief Judge, Judge LaSalle would lead New York's highest court and oversee the State's entire judiciary branch. In addition, Governor Hochul announced her strong support for Judge LaSalle's intention to appoint the Honorable Edwina G. Richardson-Mendelson to serve as Chief Administrative Judge, if he is confirmed by the Senate. The Chief Administrative Judge oversees the day-to-day operation of the statewide court system. The committee is tasked with considering feedback and input from peer experts in their respective fields via a series of stakeholder engagement sessions. In addition, the committee will engage in regional listening sessions in the coming months, providing an opportunity for direct input from the public on issues that matter to them as well as proposed solutions.

I spoke with Mike Catalano at length and felt totally comfortable making an appointment for him to come to our home to assess what could be done with our furniture. Mike was extremely knowledgeable, explained what had caused the problems with the sofa and offered the perfect solution of rebuilding it from the frame and springs out. We discussed our color preferences and he went out to his van and returned with three fabric books in our preferred color pallet — no need to sort through colors that did not interest us. He helped us coordinate the fabrics for the sofa and chair with our existing color scheme.

I needed 6 chair seats to be recovered, the cost was more than the chairs so not worth it to me, but if I need an heirloom or cherished piece to be redone, I am definitely bringing it here. Was more expensive than others, but was well worth the cost. Pick up and delivery of items was super convenient. Had dining room chairs recaned and seats recovered, had an antique dresser and mirror refinished, had a 100 year old oak table repaired and refinished and had an antique living room chair repaired and reupholstered.
